• Dong-gu is the strategic place of transportation including Daegu Airport, Dongdaegu Railway Station, and Express Bus Terminal. Its size is 182.30㎢, occupying 20% of the whole area of the city. This district is rich with natural resources such as Palgongsan Mountain and the Geumhogang River as well as historical sites like Donghwasa Temple, Pagyesa Temple and Gatbawi. With the construction of Palgong Innovalley and Esia Polis and the development of the sphere around the Dongdaegu Railway Station, the ward is rising as a new center of Daegu.
